José Miguel Gonzalo

José Miguel holds degrees in Communication Sciences and Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, and has completed the Program for Senior Management in Business at IESE. He also earned a Diploma in Commercial Management from the Instituto Internacional San Telmo, and another in Hispanic Studies from the Instituto de Cultura Hispánica. He further holds a Diploma as a Technician in managing cultural companies and foundations from the Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes.

Previously, he held the position of Director at the Caja Insular de Canarias and served as the Director General of Territorial Planning and Environment in the Government of the Canary Islands. He was also a vocal member and advisor to the President of the Urban Planning and Environment Commission within the same government. He has played a significant role in drafting the Canary Islands Waste Law, currently in effect, as well as contributing to the formulation of the Canary Islands Territory Law.
